Limburg

Hugo always felt a special connection to the work of Charles Eyck (1897-1983) who was born in Meerssen. He painted the landscape, houses and figures close to our home in Valkenburg. He also designed glass-in-lead windows and religious scenes.

Paul PM Gilissen was a frequent guest artist in Toonzaal Maastricht. When not painting he and Hugo would spend hours in the Gallery solving the problems of the world! He kindly added one or two works to our collection.
